Possible reactions and urgent warning signs

Swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising can occur after injection. Other complications are possible. Accidental injection into a blood vessel is rare but can cause serious harm, including vision loss, skin injury or stroke.

Seek immediate medical attention if you notice vision changes, unusual or severe pain, skin turning white or pale, or stroke-like symptoms such as sudden weakness, facial drooping or difficulty speaking after treatment.
